Esther Heyhoe is a South London artist/printmaker working primarily in screen print. Her passion for art began in childhood, influenced by visits to her father's commercial art studio in Soho in a pre-Photoshop age of Magic Markers, Letraset and Cow Gum. She studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication and Printmaking at City Literary Institute and Morley.
Her work often combines photographic and hand drawn elements and has a strong graphic feel. Influences include comics, typography, the urban environment, music and popular culture.
She was Artist in Residence at City Literary Institute in Summer 2016 and is currently a tutor there, teaching printmaking and picture framing.
